New Delhi, Jan 19: A two wheeler Motor bike Ambulance named “Rakshita” developed by Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi based DRDO laboratory handed over to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in a ceremony held at CRPF Head Quarter New Delhi on 18 January 2021.

The bike ambulance will help in overcoming the problems faced by Indian Security forces and emergency healthcare providers. It will provide services in conflict areas, emergency situation, and reach people at the remote locations faster where it is impossible for general four wheeler ambulance .
Rakshita is installed with a customized reclining, portable casualty evacuation seat , it is also equipped with air splint, medical and oxygen kit.
