Vaccination Drive started in India

JAN 16 : India started with the world's largest vaccination drive today. Manish Kumar becoming the first Indian to recieve the first shot against the deadly corona virus at Delhi AIIMS . Manish Kumar was vaccinated in the presence of Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. AIIMS, Delhi director Dr. Randeep Guleria also received the shot.

In Assam health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the vaccination drive in Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the world largest vaccination drive in India.

The first prefference in vaccination drive includes the health workers. The first three shots of vaccine is given to Dr Umesh Chandra Sarma, Dr Dhrubajyoti Bora and Padmashri Dr Illyas Ali. Along with GMCH the vaccination drive is also carried out at Marwari Maternity Hospital, Sonapur District Hospital, and Mangaldoi Government Hospital. Dr Sarma informed that more three lakh people will be vaccinated by april this year in Assam.
