New Delhi, March 3: The Indian senior men's hockey team played 1-1 draw against Germany in the second game of its four-match European tour.
Jarmanpreet opened the scoring for India in the fourth minute, while Martin Haner scored the equaliser for Germany.
World No.4 India started on an attacking note against the hosts and earned themselves a penalty corner in the 4th minute, which was converted to a goal by defender Jarmanpreet with a supub slap shot.
Within the following two minutes, the hosts also bounced back and got their chance to score an equaliser with a penalty corner but could not . India still continued to dominate in the second quarter, with better ball possession, creating potential opportunities with intent to capitalize on the early lead. However, the quarter ended with the hosts putting pressure on the Indian men with a strong man-to-man tackle.
A minute ahead of half - time Martin Haner of Germany scored the equalizer 1- 1.
Till the end of the match the score remains 1 - 1 and ends up with a draw.
On the first match against Germany , India won by 6 - 1.
In the next match India to take on Britain on 6th March.
